Outside Sales Representative
Job Description
Spectrum Systems, Inc., a growing software solutions
provider located in Fairfax, Virginia, is seeking
candidates to fulfill a strategic sales role responsible
for expanding our presence within the federal space.
Successful candidates will be expected to work
individually and with other team members to expand
existing accounts and to uncover new opportunities.
Minimum requirements for this position:
- 3-5 years of successful outside sales experience
with enterprise technology solutions to the public
sector
- BA/BS degree
- Ability quickly learn complex enterprise
software and hardware technology solutions
- Demonstrated understanding of government
contracting to include GSA and other purchasing
vehicles
- Knowledge of Government budgets and procurement
cycles
- Recent experience with Civilian and/or
DOD accounts
- Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, written
and oral communication skills
- Ability to listen and hear customer needs and
build a solution around those needs
- Ability to effectively present,
interact and negotiate with all levels of an
organization
- Capture appropriate activity data according to
corporate procedure
- Assume responsibility for all aspects of the
selling cycle, from proposal preparation through
management of opportunity pipeline
- Be accountable
- Experience with selling services and products in
the following areas: Automated Testing, Performance
and Application Monitoring and IT Governance.
