Performance/Quality Center Specialist
Position Summary
Spectrum Systems, Inc., a growing software solutions
provider located in Fairfax, Virginia, is seeking top
talent for a ground floor initiative to bring full
service support for our manufacturers’ products into our
own Support Center environment. Successful candidates
will have expertise in our product lines and possess
strong problem solving skills.
Performance/Quality Center Specialist position
establishes customer trust and assists Sales with their
efforts of revenue growth for Spectrum Systems by
providing the means for customers to gain full
functionality and understanding of their product
purchases with easy access to support and satisfactory
solutions. Manufacturers realize value of the service we
provide, building trust and mutual commitment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provides accurate and efficient response to
customer requests
- Analyzes customer situations and develops the
appropriate solution to gain satisfactory
resolution, seeking manufacturer assistance as
necessary
- Serves as the Primary Point of Contact for the
customer, taking full responsibility to see problem
through to resolution
- Administers, configures or manages the use of
testing tools
- Able to solve problems associated with
installation, upgrade, configuration, integration
and use
- Assists in developing and implementing a support
structure including the interviewing and hiring of
support personnel
- Supports performance and load testing
environments using HP Mercury Loadrunner
- Performs database verification and SQL queries
to verify and modify test data
- Analyzes test plans including system analysis,
risk analysis, writing and plotting test strategies
- Provides training and mentoring to junior team
members
Essential Skills and Experience:
- HP Certification in any or all of the following;
QC, QTP, LR, PC, BAC, or Manufacturer certification
in like products (IBM Rational, Borland, CompuWare,
etc)
- At least 5 years experience installing,
managing, configuring, upgrading and administering
automated testing tools such as HP Loadrunner/Performance
Center and HP Quality Center
- 5-7 years of performance and quality testing
experience (preferred)
- Experience in a Helpdesk environment
- Experience in creating and evaluating test
plans, cases and automated scripts
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with respect to
the products mentioned
- Excellent oral/written communication including
the ability to listen carefully and draw accurate
and pertinent details from the customer
- Ability to effectively work with onsite and
remote teams
- Strong independent worker and excellent team
player
- Demonstrate problem analysis and problem solving
skills in software environment
- Ability to consult technical product
documentation and to glean solutions from the
guidance therein
- Strong performance metrics extraction, parsing
and correlation skills using Loadrunner
- Excellent knowledge of PC application software
such as Word, Excel, Access, Visio, etc.
- Ability to interface with all levels and across
organizational lines
