Manager, Channel Partnerships
Job Description
Spectrum Systems, Inc., a growing software and
services provider located in Fairfax, Virginia, is
seeking candidates to fulfill a strategic Channel
Partnership Manager role responsible for managing
Spectrum’s key vendor partnerships, with a primary focus
on sales revenue and lead generation. The role will
balance partner management and sales with the focus on
growing the sales pipeline. This position will act as
the liaison between Spectrum and its Channel Partners.
Position Responsibilities
- Manage and be the main point of contact for
existing and assigned alliance partners
- Meet and exceed set sales quotas while adhering
to Spectrum’s sales rules of engagement
- Manage and provide direction on complex sales
transactions for the assigned Partners
- Communicate with partners and customers on new
offerings and other value added services
- Create systems and processes to streamline
partner management
- Work with Marketing to drive programs and events
to extend partner relationships and generate new
prospects
- Work with partners and provide pipeline,
forecast, and other required reports
- Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues
and products
- Attend and participate in sales meetings,
product seminars, and trade shows
- Prepare written presentations, reports, and
price quotes as needed
- Participate in contract negotiations
- Manage Sales pipeline as defined by Spectrum
- Define and execute partner sales plans
- Conduct self and business activities with
highest standard of ethical practices
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Experience
- Bachelor degree preferred
- 5+ years experience in government sales and
support and/or alliance management (vendor
relationship management)
- Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, written
and oral communication skills
- Highly proficient level of computer skills
including CRM Systems, MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Successful achievement of sales quotas
- Ability to manage a pipeline with multiple
accounts and partners
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Highly energetic and self starter
- Customer service oriented with a knack for
building quick rapport
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
(mostly local)
- Experience with Information Technology software
sales a plus
Travel Requirement
25% travel is expected
